My Handwriting
Read This if The Image is Not Clear
In past 2 years the most hand written word by me is my name, in the form of signature that too mostly on the merchant receipts of my credit card purchases.
I haven’t seen my handwriting for years now. It’s not because I have not been working but because I have been working too much on my laptop.
For as far as I can remember the last time I wrote more than few paragraphs was at K. I still remember how much I cursed exams not only for the fact that they were exams, but also for the pain that fingers, wrist and forearm that they bestowed upon me.
As a kid I have seen many of my friends standing on the bench or getting extra marks because of their handwriting. I still remember the way we were told to write date on every page we write, to write page number at the bottom of the page, to write P.T.O in case we are turning pages in between a paragraph and many such things.
Today I have MS word to correct me, to put header and footer and in whatever fancy way I need. I can make my writing bold or italic or chose the way it looks. It’s so simple and easy, still it doesn’t have that feeling of nostalgia to it.
I have never been a fan of writing a diaries or keeping a journal, but the only reason I am writing this is to remember how my handwriting looks.

"Ignorance Is Bliss"
As a teen I thought college should finish, I have learnt enough.... Job was the saviour and I jumped into my 1st job
My 1st year in job, lots of ups and downs loved it less hated it more... MBA showed the light
2 years in K, with hopes of earning big money and name... corporate India was the stage for me
As a kid I knew next is college
As a teen I knew next is job
As a young adult I knew next is further studies
As an adult I knew next is a better job
Now I am much wiser than a kid or a teen or a young adult
But now I have no clue where I am going next
And now I know why they say "ignorance is bliss"

HORN OK PLEASE!!!
I am sure every Indian would have come across these 3 words in the exact same manner and almost at the same place ( great leveller haan... whichever part of India you are in, these 3 words remain constant HORN. OK. PLEASE)... Picchwada of a truck or auto or bus or rickshaw or any other form of public transport ( I wonder when is the Indian rail gonna get this)
So one fine evening while coming back from office (which of course was very exciting) I happen to look and read these 3 words of wisdom on the back of the auto pushing ahead of us ( It literally was pushing) I mean, I have read these words 100s and 1000s of time so what’s so new about them??? Answer is nothing.
But that is when it struck me, and I asked my colleague... Bhai, what’s the meaning of this HORN OK PLEASE! ... I had my own theory, he had his own and below is the crux of the conversation which followed.....
Theory 1: HORN, OK, PLEASE
The driver of the vehicle A (one which is behind) pushes HORN, the driver of the vehicle B ( one which is in-front says) OK and very courteously says PLEASE and lets him pass
Theory 2: HORN OK, PLEASE
The driver of the vehicle A , comes from behind, reads the instruction which says HORN OK, pushes HORN, the driver of the vehicle B doesn’t give a shit, driver of A says PLEASE and the tussle keeps continuing...
Theory 3: HORN, OK PLEASE
The driver of the vehicle A , comes from behind, reads the instruction which says HORN , pushes HORN, the driver of the vehicle B says OK but still doesn’t give a shit, driver of A says PLEASE and the tussle keeps continuing...
Theory 4: @#$*&!#*
The driver of the vehicle A , comes from behind, reads the instruction ignores it and overtakes from left, right or from where ever he finds space.
Oh forgot to tell you, by this time my other colleague who was with us in the same auto, was on the verges of jumping out of the auto

One morning
Deep in sleep, all of a sudden my eyes open but I still remain in bed thinking that its not time yet to get up. I remain in bed for few more mins. Strangely, I feel fresh even after 2 days of torturous schedule of jumping between the cricket ground, my office and the clearance sale venue (which I am handling and I don’t know y). After few more mins of trying hard to put myself to sleep I finally get myself to stretch and grab my mobile. The clock shows 6:24 AM and the alarm is still good hour away from going off.
Nothing to do I finally get myself out of bed and after completing the normal morning rituals in another 10-15 mins I am left with loads of time in my hand (My office starts at 9:30 and I leave at 9:35). Though, I know that in a while I will receive a phone call which will consume 10-15 mins and hence giving me lesser time to get bored of.
The problem still remains I have loads of time to spend that too in the morning and I have nothing to do (Actually, I have many things to do just that I can’t bring myself to doing all those things). So, I start a Q&A session with myself.....
Q: Can I go to gym today and perform the chest exercise?
A: I can, but exercising will only make me stiff and I won’t be able to bowl properly in the evening practise when hopefully the team will be decided. So, I guess I can chuck it for today.
Q: May be I can go to gym and simply do crunches etc?
A: I can, but then going to gym and only doing crunches naaah.. I guess I can do crunches at home only.
Q: Can i check my orkut and blog...which I havnt checked for quite some time now?
A: Yes, why not.... my lappy is lying next to my bed and I will not have o move many muscles to actually reach there...
And that is how this post happened...

Crossing thoughts, giving new directions.
Changing perceptions, moulding new characters.
Tarnishing images, constructing new potraits.
Giving answers and yet..... leaving much unexplained.

Tetris
For the past one week I have been trying my hands on Tetris. It’s not that I have never played it before, but just that it’s one of my old-new found obsessions.
When I started playing a week back I could manage some decent scores (at least I thought so) but then I realised (after looking at my friend’s scores) that what I considered decent was right at the bottom of the high scores line waiting to be dislodged the very next time.
So I went on my new mission to become the highest scorer. I knew the tricks of the game, I had the passion for it, will of steel to become the highest scorer and all the patience (read time) of the world. I had the perfect recipe for success. One fateful night I started on my mission placing each piece with drop dead accuracy, always thinking about my next move, tapping the keys as fast as I can to become the highest scorer as soon as possible.
After a round of 9-10 games I managed to score so decent score but I was inconsistent. So, I started analysing (after all I am an MBA). After some analysis I found that I always made a good start the trouble came when I made huge buildings hoping for to earn big points in a single go. These hopes of earning big points, combined with the passion to beat the highest score lead to my downfall time and again.
I had something in my hand now, my weakness; “when to let go”.
A simple game of Tetris told me something which I think is a weakness for everyone who is passionate about something. We become so passionate about something which we want to achieve that sometimes when don’t realise that the circumstances are not favouring us and we need to rethink. The circumstances worsen but our passion won’t let us accept that it’s time to let go and think of some new strategies.
I have realised my weakness but still it’s hard to let go of my passion though now I have become more consistent and I am learning to “Let go”.

Blah Blah
Blah..... Blah.... Blah Blah....... Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah ...... Blah Blah.....Blah......
The first two lines should be a sufficient introduction to this blog "Blah-Blah-Bhaskar". As the name and above two lines suggest, this blog is for;
blah blah - Small Blah
Blah Blah - Big Blah
BLAH BLAH - Angry Blah
blah blah - Sweet Blah
Blah Blah - Bold Blah
(I guess you must have got it by now)
In short its for every kind of Blah Blah. So the posts that one will find here will be my Blah Blah and no one else will be able to change it. I believe in democracy and have faith in the mission and vision of this blog (which is to promote Blah Blah) therefore the visitors can also post their own Blah Blah by Commenting on my Blah Blah.
I guess its too much of a Blah Blah already.... so
Cheers
Blah-Blah-Bhaskar :)
